Sam Harvey

Professional Committee Member, Aphasia Victoria

Sam is a Speech Pathologist and PhD student within the Centre of Research Excellence in Aphasia Recovery and Rehabilitation at Latrobe University. Sam is studying the effect of dose of language therapy on recovery of language skills in people with aphasia.

Sam’s research interests stem from working with people with acquired communication difficulties and their families along the continuum of care. He has particular interests in treatment effectiveness, predicting recovery of language function after stroke, the neurological basis of language, and translational research.

Sam is passionate about building advocacy and community support for people living with aphasia. He is a committee member for Aphasia Victoria and co-facilitates the Windy Hill Community Aphasia Group.
